"Until The End Of My Life" — Chinese Commando Who Completed Malaysia's Gruelling Training
He said that he would uphold the good name of the commandos.

Lt M Chan Ming Youn from the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Ranger Regiment is the only Chinese to complete the 12-week commando training course, the Malaysian Army (TDM) announced
The 25-year-old Second Lieutenant was among nine officers and 60 enlisted personnel who were honoured with green berets and commando daggers during a parade celebrating the completion of their training.
Chan was the only Chinese member in the cohort.
He completed various stages of training under the supervision of Major General Adi Ridzwan Abdullah, the Commander of the 21st Special Service Group (21 GGK) and chairperson of the Special Service.
The parade took place at Bertutu Laut Beach in Sungai Udang, Melaka, on Sunday, April 28th.

Chan said that his interest in commando training began after he participated in the National Service Training Program while studying for an accounting degree at Tunku Abdul Rahman University.
"I didn't even know anything about commandos. I started serving in the 515 Territorial Army and since then, I have gained all the knowledge and expertise in this field, including commando-related skills," he said, adding that his goal is to continue serving, specialise, and become a top-quality commando.
"I wanted to challenge myself that even though I am from the reserve force. I, too, can become a commando, and that's why joined this basic commando training," shared the Setapak resident.
Meanwhile, Major General Adi Ridzwan Abdullah noted that it has been a long time since a Chinese Malaysian passed basic commando training
"We have not had a Chinese for a long time," Adi said while presenting Chan with a green beret and a dagger. He also patted Chan on the shoulder and told him, "Well done".
"Guard the dignity of this green beret from being tarnished by futile actions, as it will ultimately undermine all the sacrifices made by those of you who have worked hard to earn it," he reminded the graduates.
"It would be very unfortunate if the green beret worn had to be revoked in a disgraceful manner due to misconduct such as disobeying orders or acting against service regulations."
